Oral history interview with Ruth Ann Geer, 2000 [audiorecording].

Ruth Ann Geer shares her early influences and her experiences as a practicing registered nurse in Corpus Christi, Texas. She discusses how she became involved with the issue of affordable housing through the Junior League, as well as her involvement on the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and the Tarrant County Housing Partnership. In addition, she talks about her volunteer efforts with the Girl Scouts.

Ruth Ann Geer was born in 1948 in Oklahoma and came to Fort Worth as a child. After receiving her nursing degree at Tarrant County Junior College, she and her family moved to Corpus Christi. In the early 1980s, they moved to Arlington, Texas. She has been actively concerned with the issue of affordable housing, serving on the Arlington Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.
